We are thrilled to tell you that Winspace South Africa will be at the Dischem Ride For Sight event happening this Sunday, February 18th, 2024. Look out for the Winspace South Africa Gazebo. This event is not just about cycling; it’s about coming together to make a difference in the fight against retinal vision loss.
What makes this event special is its inclusivity. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or new to the sport, everyone is welcome! We embrace diversity and celebrate participants of all abilities. So, whether you’re a visually impaired cyclist, a para cyclist, or a hand cyclist, we encourage you to be part of our mission.
The event offers something for everyone. For those looking for a fun challenge, there’s an 8 km ride. And for the more adventurous, there’s a 62 km route to explore. No matter which distance you choose, you’ll experience the joy of cycling in a supportive and encouraging environment.
One of the unique aspects of this event is the presence of volunteer “pilots” who are ready to ride on tandem bicycles with members of our vision loss and para community. These pilots provide invaluable support, enabling more individuals to participate in the event.
